The Golden Key is a relaxed cottage-style dining pub dating back to the 1600’s, situated just away from the main road through the beautiful village of Snape. Alex and Oliver Burnside took over the running of The ‘Key’ in July 2017 and always offer their customers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The pub aims to be a real community pub welcoming visitors and locals alike serving traditional pub meals done well and using fresh local produce wherever possible, with a great range of beers, wines and spirits also on offer.
Packed full of original character The Key features, beams, open fires and quirky details which make it a fantastic pub to visit, any time of the year.
The two ensuite rooms situated above the premises (one of them being dog friendly), make The ‘Key’ the perfect place to stay that’s conveniently located to nearby Snape Maltings and concert hall it's an ideal base for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast and countryside with Aldeburgh, Orford, Framlingham and Woodbridge all within easy reach.
Alex and Oliver also run another pub in Snape, The Plough and Sail, located at Snape Maltings.
